Recently, we presented our work at a conference on environmental studies at the University of Haifa. The presentation included different aspects of our research on 3D imaging technologies for repeatable ecological surveys. More specifically, we are developing new outlooks for coral-reef semantic-mapping, cryptic-habitat mapping (caverns in the eastern Med.), and shipwreck documentation. At the moment, we are working on analyzing an extensive dataset that was recorded before and after an extreme weather event in the shallow and mesophotic reefs of Eilat. This will allow us to explore the disturbance\diversity theory with new and highly automated methodologies that incorporate cutting edge technologies.
